Working with friends and people that I admire is definitely one of the best things that work’s bringing to my life in recent years. Having the chance to tell a friend’s story in a short video piece fills my heart with very good feelings.

Jonathan González has been in my life since my early days in photography (which was a long time ago), but he’s been leading the way for much longer, way before the internet era, when things were not easy for a small island boy with endless talent. Even today, in 2024, Jonny’s still many people’s favorite surfer and a much younger generation’s reference to look up to.

In this short piece called ‘Homesick', the man himself tells his story since the early days and his decision to stay in his home island after traveling the entire planet searching for waves.
